Rediscover the culture and life of 1985 and 1955 with Marty and the gang, as we revisit the familiar locations of the movie and its riveting events.
Based off the previous futuristic motion picture of the same title, the late film was converted for the live stage by originators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis. The motion picture, having elements that were acclaimed for a generation, has a comparable reputation with the musical adaptation from West End. With the best high-tech elements witnessed in both light and auditory design, the show is praised as a genuinely electrifying production.

Going back in time to the 20th century, specifically the 1980s and 1950s, The stage adaptation, Back To The Future, recounts the same narrative from the original 1985 movie and was also brought to life by the film’s originators, Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis. The high-spirited and vividly bright show tells the tale of Marty McFly, an easygoing high school kid.
The musical begins as Marty McFly lives a typical day in a young adult's lifestyle, enjoying his hobbies (mainly in Marty's school band) and spending time with his significant other, while continuously being rather curious of everything he encounters. His inquisitive spirit becomes Marty's single liability, as upon connecting with Doc Brown one night, Brown announces that has succeeded in making his transtemporal device (which in truth, is the DeLorean) operate. A sudden emergency that takes place on that night causes Marty to accidentally turn on the DeLorean, surprising Marty and moving him back to the year 1955. At first disoriented with the different changes he starts seeing, Marty soon realizes that to make his way back to his own time, he should also drive history, and the younger versions of the people he meets, back to the right track.
Founded on elements from the movie with the same title, each set of the legendary show is represented as a homage to the set designs from the previous movie, including Doc's lab, the McFly's house, Hill Valley High School, and several locales in the Hill Valley area. Both the set and outfit design also stay true to the decades they represent. Back To The Future’s move to the West End platform allowed it to showcase one of the best franchises that has been produced, while applying changes and modernization made feasible in a live theater production.
Though the impressive musical brings us on a nostalgic trip back to two unique decades of the 20th century, the theater for this play is way beyond its time.
